Default Jackie Chan fights against a lightsaber...!
Something I thought would be quite funny to do, as its in connection with my University graphic editing work.

It is the Rush Hour 3 Eiffel tower scene. But its not complete, and only 40% of the whole scene is produced so far.

Things to note with this video in comparison to the original.

- I have added HDR mapping over the video. You will notice a unique glow for all objects, and this aids to the realism for the lightsaber.
- About 8 Gaussian adjustment layers for the lightsaber
- some slow-mo situations

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyUoWjA87NQ

All made in After Effects CS3 with some custom plug-ins from third party sources, as well as my own Java Action-scripting

Enjoy.

Can't speak for the MA stuff, but the light saber looks cool. Note I know fuck all about graphic design and what not.

please please add lightsabre noises, and dub over with star wars, "Only a master of evil darth." and make it as out as sync as you possibly can. it would be fucking genius, esp considering how badly kung fu movies are dubbed normally

then subtitle it with the DO NOT WANT star wars subtitles for an added touch

Well considering Hiroyuki Sanada has claimed to have done Samurai / Kendo / Kenjutsu sword fighting for more than 30 years?! I can see hes implemented some chinese based sword skills within the kenjutsu outlook.

You will notice them, later in the fight sequence, when I am finished .

Btw, shall I make BOTH swords into a lightsaber? or just keep the one? The reason I havent applied the affect to Jackie's Katana is due to the fact that its curved.........does a curved lightsaber suite anyone here? lol....

.
I belive he did a lot of Super-Hero type movies in his own country, as well as about a zillion Ninja flicks.

This looks like it requires lots of hard work.
Kudos to you. Well done! Looks great.

it's better to do both because lightsabers are suppose to cut through eveything

That is the newer version, and its possible I will leave it at that! I really cant be bothered having 2 lightsabers at the moment, as I have 3D animation assignments to be completed.

But as a result to this latest video, its been completely re-optimized with better lens flares, better HDR lighting, and a longer fight sequence than the first video I provided.

Enjoy
