I just got back from seeing AstroBoy with my Children. Excellent Movie! Why? The movie is totally made for families & shows things that few people without children can understand Like the worst fear & pain a parent could ever have is the lost of a child.
Their are many life topic to discuss with your kids that are in this movie: Elitism, Understanding, lonelyness, etc... It shows how a parent can become complacent...how all children & adults need acceptance, respect & Love... There are also hard topic that unfortunately must be discussed not just to protect but to insure our children don't grow up into something negative: segragation, greed, selfishless, bigotry, superiority complex, inferiority complex, hatred, etc... also topics that all children will have to deal with even throughout their adulthood: unfairness, nonempathectic people, sadness, lost... It shows examples of courage, consideration, caring, forgiveness & thriving. Plus very good animation & action scenes. I was pretty happy that my daughter understood the saying "Onward and upward" to mean never give up & thrive to better yourself. ^_^ Whatever the reason you go see it -- i hope you enjoy it and get something out of it. |
