Have you watched Bucks? Or the Bulls and Heat?

Every. Single. One. of those things would have to happen for an entire series. Don't be ridiculous.
Its really not THAT ridiculous. Whats ridiculous is thinking that only the top seed can win. Think about if the bucks DONT land 8th, they land 6th. Or an off chance of landing 5th? The Eastern Conference certainly isnt known for its depth. Im pretty sure teams have made it to the playoffs with a losing record in the East. Nothing is too ridiculous to happen in this conference.

This.

Jennings is not a max contract guy.
At this point.

He may become that by the time his contract is actually up. Probably not, but it's not an unrealistic possibility at this point, especially with the improvement this season.

No. The goal is to win a championship. Giving him a max contract could quite possibly hinder that goal, even if they stink by letting him go.
Just because they havent done it yet, doesnt mean they cant win a championship as is. Player development is real. Its a shot in the dark, but youre closing the door on whether or not it could happen.

Pretty sure he's open market next year, hence the article in him looking at big markets.
The topic was more about how to get him more exposure so that he wouldn't get snubbed for the All Star Game again.

He's shoot-first PG who is a career 39% FG shooter. Max money for him would be ABSURD.

He has to be a RFA next year right? 4 years for rooks? Unless he signs the 1-year qualifying offer from the Bucks next year....which a player would be stupid to do. VERY risky.
Yeah...he can choose to sign an extension next season or just the one year tender.

"Harmless stuff, especially considering that the only relatively immediate action that could come regarding Jennings and free agency is his ability to sign a long-term contract extension with Milwaukee after this season. If he chooses not to, he still wouldn’t be an unrestricted free agent until 2014."

The Bucks are shit without him, last year proved that. He's gotten better and better.
Just because a team would be much worse without you doesn't mean you should be a max player. Those are the kind of deals that got the league in so much trouble over the last decade.

I think whoever said 5/50...that seems much more appropriate.

Certainly he could be. Got a ways to go though. Is he restricted after next year?

They would have to be mental to even think about it.
Why would they be mental? The guy has gotten better every year.

The Bucks aren't developing anyone. All of their playing time is going to Jennings, and then a bunch of middling journeymen in an effort to snare the 8th seed and get a first round exit again. That's the big goal here.

Jenninngs is talented player that takes a lot of bad shots.

I guess he could get better, but the the Bucks should trade him while they can.
The only way that would make sense is if they could get something just as valuable in return.
And noone is going to trade their young point guard for him. He's under contract until 2014, trading him now would be asinine, unless you were getting someone like Wall or Rose or Blake Griffin or Kevin Love in exchange.

are the bucks willing to give him a max deal?
Not sure, Herb Kohl the owner goes back and forth on selling the team, not selling the team. But... I would think they would although Bogut just signed his 5 year deal last year that cannot be cheap.

It only hinders the goal if it prevents them from giving the designation to a better player, really.

If they don't sign him, and they don't have a better option to max, and they start losing, that will do more damage to the franchise than maxing the wrong guy will.

Unless they start winning, they'll be built mostly on guys playing their earlier deals anyway.
