welcome Renee
Buddhism has many levels of practise, the most basic being practising the five precepts (non-harming), generosity, unconditional love & compassion, etc. in my life, i started practising Buddhism before i knew what Buddhism was, when, due to life experiences, i decided to not act in ways that contribute to the harm of others then, when i visited a Buddhist monastery as a tourist overseas, i first discovered & practised meditation, in the setting of a formal 10 day meditation retreat *** if you wish to practise meditation, it is best to start practice at a Buddhist centre, even if it is just for an evening or day as for the other aspects of Buddhism, these are practised in everyday life in Buddhism, there are many teachings on practising in everyday life, such as the qualities that should be practised in our everyday relationships, etc kind regards element ![]() |
