Default The gift of truth excels all other gifts?
Hi,

I've been told that Buddha-taught "The gift of truth excels all other gifts" is wise word but this works only spiritually.

What do you think? Correct?

Thanks

Sangarava Sutta: To Sangarava
AN 3.60
Buddha was firmly of the opinion that teaching was the highest 'miracle'
"Brahman, there are these three miracles. Which three? The miracle of psychic power, the miracle of telepathy, & the miracle of instruction.

"As for the miracle where a certain person gives instruction in this way .... this is the miracle that, of the three, appeals to me as the highest & most sublime.

Obviously he taught the Dhamma, (Dhamma can be understood as 'Truth')

A great deal of the Buddha's teaching are to do with living a highly moral life,it's not possible to become Enlightened while living an immoral life.

Hi Roath,

The gift of the Dharma is the best gift that we can have to help us in life.

Maybe you would like to share your own thoughts on this too?

Kind regards,

Aloka

Truth is always arround us. We are who do not see it because of our deluded mind. It is certainly a gift but it is not given for free. It is needed practice so to have it.
