Hi Y'all: I'd such as the organizations' feedback/understanding of Buddhism and emotional expression. A few paradigms contend for my interest. There's one (esp. Observed in the press) of women and men with shaved heads with silent voices and a relaxed impact. Still another may be the Zen story concerning the pupil who asks his master "What is enlightenment?" His grasp responses, "When starving, eat. When tired, sleep." Is it suitable bring that thought to the emotional sphere?- "When you're sad, be sad. When you're content, be content." I actually do realize that feelings, like anything else, are transitory and are nothing to be mounted on. Often, in my own reading, I have the feeling that experience and showing feeling is just a bit frowned upon. I'm uncomfortable with that. Doesn't appear healthier in my experience. My reckon that a Buddhist paradigm re. Coping with one's feelings is something similar to this: Be with that feeling completely, when you are feeling a specific feeling. Convey the feeling well, if necessary. Then, as it moves, let it go. Supply straight back is extremely pleasant. Metta to any or all, Bill
