Has anyone ever hired out one of those spaces in a shopping centre? We're thinking about trying it out to give our business exposure in our target areas. I've just sent off a few enquiries to find out pricing etc.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has done this ...

I received some information yesterday about the casual leasing so I thought I'd share it here. It ranges in price, but at one large shopping centre it's $2500 for a 6mx6m stand per week, $2000 for a 3x3m stand.

Another smaller shopping centre starts from under $1000 per week and they have flexible weekend only options starting from $400 which is what I'm more interested in.

It's a lot less expensive than a stand at an exhibition, but on the other hand, you're not guaranteed to get your target market walking by.

Anyway, it's something for us to consider in the near future.

$400 for a weekend seems pretty reasonable, but like you said there is no guarantee that anyone from your target market will be there at the same time. If nothing else, I guess it's a bit of a brand building exercise.

I've booked in our casual stand for a weekend - July 10-11. We'll be at Point Cook Town (in the Target quadrant) if anyone wants to buy wallpaper :P
