Citroen has now homologated a DS3 R1B.

Homologations (List of Homologation valid as from 01.03.2012)
Strange choice for Citroen to add DS3 R1 with Vti 120 hp engine.

Congrats to Steve Røkland on class win on Pirelli Rally. This even if he drove many ss with a very squized exhaust system that had to be replaced with a spare from M-Sport HQ.

Been out watching Rally Sørland this weekend.
Wow I am impressed by the debut of the Fiesta R1 driven by Anders Kjær.

Number 16 after day 1, up to 14 during first stages day 2, ending up with an splendid 19th at the end.

Check times and competition here; Live Timing

Interesting that Gilbert was chosen by Citroën as test driver: it shows how the make is confident in him...maybe the "next Ogier" ???

Is there a price out for the DS3 R1 ?

What is the price for used Twingos in France (biggest market) and other places ?

Impressed by the R1 on gravel. With a good driver it went like a train on gravel, and came 19th total.

The car is made for rental by people that just want to test rally, to check if they like it before buying a car. Smart system!!

Wondering about the strength btw the ford and the renault R1s, but the ford looked good And easy to drive I must say.

Only a 208 R2 and a 208 R are announced. They shouldn't develop a 208 R1 because there is already a DS3 R1.

That's no problem. They already admitted they would do both 208 and DS3 R5. I think it's rather easy to use same technology in two different bodyshells and for many reasons it makes sense to keep both brands in.

The Rallye-Jeunes Yann Bergues and Jérémy Beaux are running in it this season
But they lack of experience compared to the drivers of the Twingo R1 Trophy
Thus at Rallye du Rouergues, Sébastien Chardonnet(promising young driver)drove one and before losing many times(mistake or puncture or mechanical??)and the times were really good: he fought with the Twingo/Junior trophy leaders
