Either that or she has a hairy butt. This beats barking spiders.

It'll be a tough job, but I volunteer to shave it for her.

Why didn't they just move the table closer to the edge of the pool?

#4 - who for the love of god, would anyone, even his worst enemy, allow to persist in such a position for long enough to take this picture?!
I am not a physicist, but I'm guessing that even if the electricity hit the water, the people in the tub are safe, because the tub is entirely rubber. So the electric current would not have any faster way to earth than by going through the wires. It might screw up the electrical equipment if it shorted out, but I'm not convinced the people in the tub are in as great danger as it looks.

Plus there's no evidence anything is actually plugged in at the other end.

actually that image has a mistake.
The check says e^i*pi which is -1 , so the check is for the sum of 0.0002

which means the image itself is a FAIL.

Looks like e^2*pi to me....

That math still doesn't work out.

I'm of the suspicion that the explanation below the check is wrong. I think Randall Patrick Monroe intended to make out the check for exactly 2/10ths of a cent.

If Sirotnikov's reading is right (and I think "i*pi" makes more sense than "2*pi") then it looks like the math comes out to:

0.002 plus (negative 1) plus (something that tends towards 1).

Or, 0.002 minus 1, plus 1. Equals 0.002, which is exactly what Sirotnikov said.

Anybody else get this result?

if you look at both places he written the sum, it is clear it's a cursive small-letter i.

there's no logic in it being e^2pi
- there's nothing special about that number
- the inside joke is about the 0.002 dollar issue, so the sum remaining 0.002 is more logical than the sum being a weird number above 500$.

e^i*pi is exactly -1.
the sum from 1 to infinity of 1/(2^x) is exactly 1

why would he want to make a check to VERIZON for 0.002 dollars?

Ha! Excellent!

I'd thought the joke was that he was using a complicated way of arriving at the sum they'd billed him. That's a lot funnier!

Do try this at home!

I did. Those towers could be totally by me. But mine are a bit more sophisticated: I use wooden plates for pots, to intigrate balcony levels, and put candels on them and such...

EDIT: a#42 - i wanna stuff a carrot bound to a stick in this look-at-me-a**īs mouth and have him pull a cart with it.
