do you normally keep those lying around the house?
it's not like i've got half a dozen hanging from the wind chimes, now is it?

no, they're kept in the locked chest. i've got a few, but only one is the community ball gag.

In my days as a journalist, I learned that the term for that practice (at least among teenagers) is "scarfing".

That was more than a little disturbing to me.

Mrfun, My suggestion is you start punching yourself in the face so you get a bunch of bruises and when your coworkers ask what happened, say you got into a street fight.

In New Zealand, "to scarf" means to eat quickly.

Also in New Zealand "to spew" means to vomit. That was a problem for a friend who went to university in Queensland Australia and described a night out as one that ended with him "going home and spewing* all night".

* Apparently, "to spew" is slang for "masturbate" there.

Both of these terms can mean the exact same thing in America. Yet more proof that New Zealand has no distinctive culture of its own.

My favorite UK slang term of the day is "crafty butcher", meaning a male homosexual - who likes to take his meat around the back.

On that note, here's a hilarious piece of undetected Wikipedia vandalism.

That screenshot wins for having the name "S****horpe".
You ever been there? The "S" is silent.

Anyway, the French have Marseilles.

Odd, in the UK spew also means "vomit", "technicolor yawn", "liquid laughter", "yoffing", "parking a tiger".

I've never heard it mean masturbation.

Which is odd because the Brits have a very large corpus of synonyms for masturbate. It's almost like how the Eskimo and Inuits have a million different words for snow because that's all they deal with...
spew means the same thing here. It never meant masturbation.

Someone is confusing it with splooge- which happens with a variety of sexual practices, not just jerking off.

Doesn't splooge mean to spend a lot of money on something?

I saw something on the news when I was 13 or 14 about scarfing and how it was pretty common in the public schools in my area for middle school, but not high school. Hearing about it made me sick. Then I talked to my catholic school friends about it and very few of them knew what I was talking about. We were so sheltered back then.

That's splurge.

"Scarfing" from I guess the scarf around his neck.

Yeah. I've heard of the practice. Apparently, the lack of oxygen to the brain enhances orgasm. But sometimes the guy doesn't live through the ordeal. (Hope it was a good one.)
