As Dis points out, he was a good, but not great President.
He brought a vigor to the White House and a pride to the nation that wouldn't be seen again until the Reagan Administration. ![]() His blunders in the Bay of Pigs fiasco and at the Vienna Summit led to the Soviet recklessness of placing nukes in Cuba...which gave JFK a chance to redeem himself (by risking nuclear war ![]() He and LBJ teamed up to push through the greated civil rights legislation since Reconstruction. ![]() |
