Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I hope everyone has had a nice summer. I am fortunate to have had a remarkably pleasant time full of health.

I didn't know where else to post this, but my oil lamp keeps on going out. I have a nice brass votive holder, which I cleaned, I use good virgin olive oil, and never in my 12 years of marriage has this happened to me. Is there anything else I might be doing wrong?

I think it will have everything to do with your wick. It could be too short, or fat a bad material or clogged as mentioned in another thread.

You do have oil in the lamp, right? Sorry, sometimes you have to trouble shoot from the basics.

Do not worry about the lamp, change the wick like Paul suggested.
