Default Other things to do
Lately, I have been wanting to find other things to do. Like Yugioh has been becoming a huge part of my life and I don't want to leave the forum completely, just find other hobbies/stuff/etc. Tbh I am kind of addicted and would like to get ideas of other things to do when I'm home bored or w/e that don't involve vid games/computers/Ygo/Tv/etc. Any suggestions?

yes.

if you're family has a decent amount of money get into racing. i am being like dead srs if i was 4-5 years younger i would be racing those go-carts or mini bikes or something.

go online and find youth racing in your area. tell your parents about it. trust me that **** is hella fun if you start it before it gets all serious.

dont think you live near any mountains but snowboarding as well.

and weight lifting

Cheap way to get away from yugioh is simply find friends chill a girl friend always keeps me not bored there is lots of things join a sport . Depending on your age you can do lots of things. Going to the park is one of the most fun things for me because everyday you either play basketball , soccer , or football and its free .

Don't live near a park. I live in a part of town where I need a ride from parents to do almost anything. I hope you now see my dilemma.

They have Go Kart racing somewhere nearby, but meh. Interesting idea. I"ll look into it I guess. Looking for mainly things that can usually be found more locally in a smaller town, such as the one I live in, or things that can be done from home.

K well I try to have friends over as much as possible. I play tennis with some friends sometimes. But I am still left with quite a bit of free time. Luckily school is starting next week, but I still want to have something else to do.

1: Walk. No destination, just go for brisk walks with some music or someone to keep you company

2: Find a pickup sport. Something not super competitive, like softball. If your still in highschool maybe not though as kids would still be playing real baseball. But seriously im sure you can find a ball hockey or Ultimate Frisbee group or something

3: Video games?

4: Intellectual persuits. Read more if you dont, take up an intellectual hobby, be it chess, programming, casual calculus, sudoku, whatever.

Maybe you could try to pick up an Instrument, if you don't already play one.

You could do photography! Omg, photography is a LOT of fun and can teach you a lot about the subject you're studying.

Writing, writing is a lot of fun too. Let your imagination run wild.

Soccer, soccer is a fun way to burn off stress and energy.

Invest in a bike, work out, think of creative ideas to help prepare you for your future like college preparation and other things like that, spend some time with friends/girls walking around "Hanging out doesn't always have to be go over a house and xbox or go to the movies people still have fun outside"

Getting a nice job nearby wouldn't be too shabby either.

It's difficult when I cannot suggest TV, DVD's or Video Games to you. LOL

I have played/watched/done all that too, so now I scour second hand shops, opportunity shops, garage sales & bargain stores looking for old VHS tapes I haven't seen yet *owns 3 fully functioning VCR's with remotes and all cleaning equipment for them* and I have literally hundreds of old VHS tapes at home (which I go through about every 6 months only keeping all my fave ones)...VHS tapes only cost me 20 cents each (always fast forward and rewind them before you play them to keep the VCR head in good condition and store the tapes in a cool, dry place).

I also own every Nintendo, Game Boy and Playstation console ever made, so I love picking up old NES, SNES, N64, GBC, PS1 etc games for cheap as well (about $2 each). I also own old Ataris and Intellivision etc...etc. This is my other 'hobby'.

If I am not playing Yugioh, going on Yugioh forums, watching my VCR, playing some old retro console, reading a book (horror and fantasy stories are my fave), going shopping, watching TV etc...You will usually find me on e-bay, putting things I would love to own, but cannot afford on my 'watch list'.lol

I also knit, paint, do sodoku and crosswords, even colouring in my colouring-in book (it's one with dragons, fairies and other mythical creatures in it) is so relaxing.

Good luck.

Walking is an interesting idea. There are tons of places to do that around my house. Video Games I am actually trying to get into, but its kind of hard when all you have is a Wii. There actually is a little Ultimate Frisbee group that meets once a week on the weekends to play. Thanks!

Already play guitar :P

Where can I learn to program and what are its immediate uses?

May start working out.
