@old steel: At this point we don't know anything for sure, I am sure someone will come online and start talking about it soon. Hopefully the Admins are in control, and if so I thank them for their hard efforts. John Q Public is rock solid about this type of stuff.
Looks like we had a backup that ran ~21st May 2012 02:07 AM, so that's why those are the most recent posts now. I conjecture that the drive that had the more recent posts crashed... |

Its probably more like a vulnerability or potential exploit in the bulletin board code. Patching the holes for platforms like these usually means backing up the database (posts), installing the new version and then importing the database, take a deep breath, cross everything and hit the big shiny button. Not that Serpo (our current "Thanks" champ) would notice... should the "thanks" count need to go away. We'll always be thankful, my brotha!! ![]() |
