Following are several reasons to re-examine your relationship with your city, village, township or county.
Padberg v. Roos, 404 SW2d 161, Supreme Court of Missouri, April 11, 1966 A county or a city, charter or otherwise, is imperium in imperio, that is, a government with a government. The people of a county or city, as such, are not sovereign. Wayne County v. Michigan Public Service Commission, 72 NW2d 109, 1955 A "county" is a body politic composed of cities, villages and townships. While the first cases talks of "people" there are none in any city, village, township or county. |
