Default Issue with MacBook
Long story short, the "Z" key on my MacBook does not work. I am still eligible for the Apple Limited 1-Year Warranty. I am planning to go to the Apple Store tomorrow to check it out at the Genius Bar. First question: Will they be able to help me?

I am also purchasing an Apple Wired Keyboard. For those who know a thing or two about the product, how is it generally? I have an iSkin cover on my MacBook keyboard, so typing long essays is a pain.

It's pretty much identical to the MacBook's keyboard.
They'll replace your keyboard. Don't expect to have your MacBook for at least 4 days if you're unlucky.

I would call ahead, if you can. I was able to arrange a time with the Genius Bar so I didn't have to wait in any lines. There is a name for it, I think it is Apple Concierge.

I had a problem with my mouse track-pad, and they replaced that whole unit in less than 2 days, so it just depends upon where you are (I am in Atlanta, GA, fwiw).

Well, I go to the Santa Clara Apple Store, so they're often backlogged with repairs.

Did you try taking the iSkin off?

I went to the Apple Store Yorkdale today and met with one of the Geniuses. I'm still under warranty, so I am eligible to get it repaired free of charge. She said they have to replace the top casing of the keyboard. The funny thing is, however, that even my new Wired Keyboard's "Z" key does not work when connected to my MacBook. Something wrong with the computer?
