At my school every year, the juniors have a thing called career day, where we go on an internship for one day. You put down a list of 3 career choices and my school does their best to get you an internship for that day for your top choice. For instance, a few of my friends put down fashion design, so they are visiting the Sean John headquarters in NYC.
For my first choice, I put down car sales. Its something I'm really interested in and the person who chose that last year went to a Hummer Dealer and got picked up from our school in an H2.
Anyways... we got out internship assignments last Friday and I get to spend this Thursday with a general manager of a local Audi dealership!!! I'm so excited and I couldn't think of a better thing to experience.
I've been thinking of the possibilities in my head of what car I'm being picked up in

ok i have to remember to write that down when i do something like that. I think my school does that. That is if i dont go on my exchange student thing that I want to do...

Cross your fingers that it's the Audi R8. Only a handful of journalists got to drive and just imagine, you'll be the first teenager to even BE in a R8. I can dream, right?

haha i was thinking about that but is it even on sale yet? I was looking through the dealer's online inventory and it didnt mention any in stock.

Well, the TT IS on sale now. Maybe the RS4? Maybe it will turn out to be the A3. Who knows? You get to spend a whole day off from school and in an Audi dealer watching people buy the finest maker of luxury automobiles.

well their website says they have the TT in stock and in their showrooms and yet its not listed on their website so its possible.

they do have a couple of S8s, S6s, and other nice ones listed though as well as 2006 CPO porsches =p.
The audi dealer is right next to their own VW dealer and they also have a Porsche dealer in my town.

do people usually go to buy cars midweek? we bought ours on a saturday...
and the R8 is on sale in europe but i dont think it will reach america to like mid-june or something.

Best time to go for bargains, midweek, IMO. Especially a few weeks before the year identifier changes as dealers want to get rid of old stock, or even if a newer model is coming. And after if you want to find a cheap car that's been part exchanged.
Jeremy Clarkson once bought a knackered Volvo, for a TG challenge, from an authorised dealer for 1 just because the dealer was desperate to off load it.

Okay, wow. Today...
Firstly, I got picked up in a loaded q7 3.2. its such an amazing car it had the panoramic sunroof which is amazing. i'm sooo gonna have my dad get one when the mortgage for the house is finished in 4 years. Anyways I saw everything except the R8 & S5. Saw a brand new s4 that some airline pilot was picking up today that they paid cash for... Saw a brand new S8 that some football player had just bought.
But when i get out of college i'm definitely going into car sales. After 9-12 months a six figure salary is pretty common. plus i would get paid a lot of money for something i enjoy a lot.

We have that in the UK too...But it is for a week or two here. (Work Experience), glad you got to go to where ypou wanted to.
