Default Our Civic encounters her first accident
My mom drives our Civic Coupe everyday to and from work. She parks at the side of the road just like everyone else at work. Well, Friday was a different day. It was freezing cold with a snowstorm gusting through the city. My mom went outside quickly after work since she has a minor cold. She noticed a pink slip of paper on her windshield. She thought it was a parking ticket. The sheet was frozen onto the windshield and the wipers just severed the paper. She came home (she took the paper off) and showed it to me. It was wet and it ripped a bit. I could make out the words though, barely:
Hey, I was backing up and I touched your car. No one was there and I thought I should tell you. I saw no visible damage, but feel free to call ***-***-****.
I went to our garage (underground) and I saw the boo-boo our Civic encountered. The front 3/4 panel bumper was sticking out of the car alot and it was also severely scratched.
The thing about this is her car was parked without any problem and it was just another car that caused the damage. Thankfully, the person left a note and a phone number in which we reached and the replacement parts cost was all donw without any hassle by the accident causer. I took pics of the damage, but I have to upload them and it's bedtime for me, so I'll upload the pics for you as soon as possible.

sorry about your accident..
but, you are lucky that the person left a note. Nobody left me a note when somebody hit my car twice in a lot.

Our GV got hit from the back once, but i can see any damage xD
Sorry to hear about your Civic.
When we had the C-class Estate, we were backing out of a single lane road (there was a flood ahead), and a car from behind hit us hard.
It was an old Rover convertible, its lights had smashed, and the bumper was deeply dented. the funny thing was that all needed to be done with our Merc was a repaint over a 5 cm patch...

The total of the replacement/labour costs is $1850CDN even though it doesn't look much fron the outside.

Good on the person to leave a note. That's some true human decency right there!

damn, that's not the kind of damage one should cause when backing up, LOL
It was nice of them to leave the note. Were there any cameras around? maybe they just didn't want to get caught running away. ( yeah I'm really amazed they left the note just because they thought it was right thing to do, lol )

Well, it was rush hour and the road the Civic was parked at is a road used by many commuters as a shortcut rather than taking the larger roads. Definitely some people would have seen the accident happen. We're still fortunate that a note was left.
P.S. Our rental car is a Chevrolet Cobalt Coupe.

your car has a gender?
We just call it by color. We say like get in the black, or get in the green.

The Cobalt is very cramped and bland. I like the instrument gauges and the taillights, but not even close to our sexy Civic.

I think the human eye can tell that the Civic Coupe definitely implies a gorgeous lady.

First of all, this is a 2-door Coupe Civic we're talking about. Secondly, you need to see this up close to be amazed. A $20K gorgeous coupe is hard to find these days.

first off; beauty is in the eye of the beholder; a civic can be sexy
second, i see people ragging about you calling your car "her" cayman, well just to support i too call my car a "her" and have even named it. Yes, it may be lame, but theres a bond between man and machine that just cant be broken

The rental Cobalt Coupe was a little defective. The turn signals, both inside and out weren't working and that was a problem for my mom. We went to Discount Rental for the problem and they gave us another rental car: 2007 Hyundai Elantra GL Comfort.
I took some pics of it. My mom likes the Elantra. The design is not her taste, but she says the drive is excellent. Acceleration and power is good, albeit the braking response was a little slow. Fit and finish was excellent and the interior space was huge. It even had bum warmers (cloth seats) and this is a base model ($18.995CDN).

in your opinion. i wouldn't necessarily call a civic sexy either (then again "sexy" is a word i rarely use to describe a car even when it applies) but i personally think it's a sharp-looking little coupe....but to each their own

To be honest, no car is sexy. I mean I'm not about to take one with me to bed. That'd be plain weird wouldn't it. Not even an R8, or an Alfa Brera....
The Civic Coupe, judging by the pics above, looks reasonably good. Not my cup of tea, as it looks a bit...erm... silly... but I respect the Civic. And I know that beauty is in the eye of the Beerholder, so...
