It's a load of old crap. Does anyone seriously believe that in just 27yrs we'll be able to travel in time? We struggle to even come up with plausible theories for time travel, never mind a working theory. What? No way! |

Three general theories regarding time travel, according to SF writers.
Nothing changes as what has or will happen will do so - relocating a person in the timestream can only happen if it happens. One timestream that can change with the relocation of a person. multiple time streams, any alterations swawn a new time stream and the original remains the same, this being because the re-location can't happen in the original as it hadn't already happened. IIRC, there was a short lifed sub nuclear particle that appeared to travel backwards - Tau? Probably just mis-recalling something, though. In practice, I don't think it's possible except for relativistic affects, where travel is still 'forward', just the relative rate alters. We could do with one of the Physics gurus commenting, not that we'd probably understand them ![]() |

Interesting article from Stephen Hawking concerning time travel, wormholes, paradoxes and so on. Great read.
![]() Any kind of time travel to the past through wormholes or any other method is probably impossible, otherwise paradoxes would occur. So sadly, it looks like time travel to the past is never going to happen. A disappointment for dinosaur hunters and a relief for historians. I'm more inclined to agree with Hawking than some guy who claimed to have come back in time for an ancient computer. |
