Just noticed that he had the audacity to request such a thing.. go to 'change keyboard player' and it asks you to do it now or later.
fixt.

Default Music software help..
Chap as work plays the keyboard and has asked me if there's such a thing a a bit of software that can determine the key a song is played in. Basically he wants to play an mp3 and find the key, and possibly change it.

Any clues?

If he plays the piano he should be able to determine the key himself

You know, that's what I thought.. but didn't like to say..

In fairness, he probably could. I think he has stacks of backing tracks and can't be arsed to do each one manually.

Yes there is.
I used to have a WMP plugin that detected key and chords for songs

Just noticed that Audacity does it too.. go to 'change pitch' and it tells you what it is.
