Listen to this man !!
and thank you!

Well it seems i killed this stone dead? Didnt mean to sound like a **** earlier but i see people who have made mistakes all the time, they want me to try and fix the problem or advise them on how to get rid of it.

Seriously tattoos are for life and in most case longer than the intended realtionship, we have a saying - " the tattoo will last longer than the romance".

Now if you want see a serious tattoo, heres one i made earlier -

Many who get tatoo's with the mindset that they LOVE them and have no issues getting them, live to regret it. I could not imagine someone getting one who is on the fence about it, or doing so on a whim, will find any other path than regret.

Maybe if her initials are convenient you could turn it into another tattoo when you break up.

is it just me, or doesn't it seem like in this day and age we could invent an ink that degrades over 5-10 years. You could charge more for it, and it would probably increase sales on fools like FAKE (sorry man, i like you but it is foolish to get a tattoo because a girl wants you, and doubly foolish to get initials) who would have few reservations if they knew 5-10 years down the road they wouldn't need laser removal surgery. Not to mention, all the old whores i see with tramp stamps. I am just saying, that most people I know would or would have gotten tattoos that disappear (except scarring) in the future had they had the choice.

Female perspective:

Do NOT Do It...
She made the choice to get YOUR initials. Instead, do the engagement ring OR if you really actually want a tattoo, get something that symbolizes your love that you both agree on and can both appreciate. This way, if worst comes to worst, it will still mean you have/had feelings for her, yet no other female needs to look at her initials and think you still love her.

This is my awesome tattoo idea for me an my ex, yet it doesn't fit me... he will understand...

A t-rex eating a Jesus fish... even if we didn't have the same religious beliefs, we could both semi-appreciate that design. LOLOLOL!

I don't have any tattoos and I am not against tattoos, but man have they become way to mainstream. Like in a stupid way.

If you don't want it, don't get it and don't let the "she got my initials tattooed" guilt trip you into something you don't really want.

Do like a friend of mine did for his girl (who he is no longer with no less) and buy her a star.

I'm not getting the tattoo, every time she asked I flat out said no, despite protest from her. I keep telling her it's something I do not want, and 'if' we ever break up I would live to regret it. She get's really upset when I use the word 'if' though, as if I mean 'will'.

But I have absolutely NO idea what to give her for her 21st B'Day, she said she would much rather have me have the tattoo over a ring or a car as it would mean much more to her

It can't be anything expensive unfortunately as we are both trying to save up to get our own place. And a 21st B'Day (at least in Australia) is considered very special. Damn, I'm so lost[no]

There are temporary inks that last 5-7 years but the instability in the pigments you get @ 2 years before it looks like a sack of sh*t.

There was a legislation passed @ 12 years ago that meant some of the base heavy metal components used to make the pigment colour had to be a certain grade and so on.
This wiped out almost half the ink makers in the industry.
There was a rise in what then then called 'pre dispersed ink' this were in fact an liquid not a colloid like old pigments.

The new inks have less than 20 years and do break down quicker and easier than before - sadly!

Now as for laser i notice a couple of comments about laser work here, laser work is still in its infancy as a treatment its about 20 years old now but still its quite young as treatments go as technology changes so the application process changes too.

If you have something that have a multi phase duel switch laser on it you can hit just about every colour we got, white is the hardest as it poses less resistance than the others.
You should be able to break down all pigments and be left with virtually no trace what so ever.

People are not getting trained in this, charging a small fortune as they can get away with it, using the wrong equipment and scaring people as result.
Like anything if your going to let someone lose on your skin you need to check they know their stuff?

And yes that was a pic of mr City in colour the girl i work with has tattoos all over her about her life or points that have been important to her in life.

Seriously, take a step outside of yourself. You're dating a girl that is instructing you to permanently scar yourself for her. Would you ask someone you love to do that? No. She is not the one for you man.

Why don't you ask her if you could pierce your sack instead, easier to undo in case she ditches you for another fool. See what she says.

Her asking you to put a tattoo on you could mean that she's subtly trying to tell you that you are pathetic in bed... Be one step ahead and ask her to do Labiaplasty first. She'll do that if she truly loves you man.

The fact that this girl won't take no for an answer should tell you something. She seems more concerned with what she wants than your own feelings.

Do some research for a nice secluded beach, you live in aussie land ffs... Pack a bottle, some picnic food and go for a long drive. Talk about her and nothing but her, unless she mentions something else. Stop off at a few places, take some pictures and make her smile... Maybe a local nature reserve or zoo or something...

Get to the secluded beach area, have a nice picnic with her, have some fun, nob if you can. Buy her something nice that you can afford, something she can remember not just you but the day you had together and give it to her as the sun sets. Finish the evening driving back with her asleep in the car.

Any woman that doesn't appreciate a day like that isn't worth keeping.

Yeah, that. Not understanding why you wouldnt want a tattoo. Not understanding the 'if' we break up. I think there's some immaturity there. Forget the ring, even if you have no intention or marrage.

Fook me Desolator almost has a sesitive, romantic side.
