It's a strategy I have been considering myself. Tell me, how do you find parallel parking a narrow-boat?

Then I'm REALLY surprised you're still alive!
Do you slow down for fog, heavy rain, snow, possible ice, etc?
It sounds like YOU are the horrible driver here. Aside from reducing one's speed in the conditions above there is no reason to significantly lower your speed below the limit. Doing so would cause far more accidents then would be avoided. You have to be afraid of nearly everything on the road to slow your vehicle down merely because its dark out perhaps driving isn't for you. As for me when it rains, snows, and fogs I prefer to increase my speed so I get through it quicker thus I am out of the danger sooner.

While a lot of your post made sense, you've completely undermined it with some of the stupidest words I've seen on the internet in many a moon.I saw the jk,but did you see this?

I personally, when driving on ice, will slam the acceleration pedal down and jack the wheel so I can burn all the ice off the road

14 yrs ago when I was going too fast in a small turn covered in snow.

1. Notices my old truck isnt turning as much as I expect it to.
2. Uh.. *calculates the predicted path*
3. Do I steer more? Will braking work?
4. Crap! there's no way out of it *braces for impact*
5. *opens eyes and looked around* phew! still in 1 piece

Since then I crashed into few trees at bottom of 3ft slope with my x-cab section behind my driver door took most of the impact with shattered glass all over behind me. Couldnt shut the driver door anymore and still drove home after that (was close to home) and sold it for $500 when i put it up on cars.com

The dude who bought that pickup truck from me sent me email couple weeks later letting me know that his son who works at bodyshop fixed it up with new panel and told me if i could come down to Indiana to visit it.
