for the past month or so, I started accumulating parts and built up a custom 10/22. For those unaware, this is one of the most popular .22 rimfire rifles you can buy, if not THE most popular.
Started off as this - ![]() Then after.. New stock New Kidd stainless lightweight barrel (stainless barrel is sleeved into an anodized aluminum tube) New bolt handle New guide rod/spring assembly Bolt was sent out and given a radius, pinned the firing pin, set the headspace, and jeweled the visible edge New Redfield 3-9x40 scope and Trigger reworked by yours truly (polished all contact surfaces and stoned the hammer to lighten the pull, probably cut it in half easily) I was left with this! ![]() ![]() ![]() was able to shoot it 2 weeks ago before i reworked the trigger, and it shoots less than dime size groups at 50 yards quite easily[thumbup] (safety looks off in one pic, but it actually wont push any further until after it is cocked, then it snaps to safe) |

16.5" barrel, I havent shot it out past 50 yards, i was up deer hunting the end of december and just wanted to sight in the new scope. But at that range, it shot terrific! I'll be going over to a buddys cabin in 2 weeks to do some recreational shooting and be able to put it through its paces more then.
