But i smell a rat? I first thought upon the initial story the batterys exploded, but that was left in tact!

This bit "Mr Embry said he started to panic and drove himself to a local elementary school where his wife work so she could take pictures of his injuries." is suspicious, IMO.
Most people who supposedly had something explode 'in' their ear would be more interested in seeking medical attention, rather than having pictures taken of it. I would also have expected her to have urged he had medical attention, rather than muck around with pictures. |

looking at the phone and were the "impact" was it looks like it came from the ear speaker. right behind the slot in the glass. speakers use a copper winding that moves the diaphragm to produce sound. a copper winding is basically a capacitor. so i wounder is it over volted and caused it to try and shoot the diaphragm out of the unit. just speculation mind you.. and the speakers are so tiny one wonders if it would be possible. |
