Default Its cold outside
Seems like everywhere is experiencing cold and snow at the moment. What did we do to deserve this.

Its -13f (-25) at the moment. 6 months ago it topped out at 95f (35c) with heat indexes over 100f.

EDIT - Isn't this an El Nino year as well?

You won't have to remind me not to move to Minnesota. I can hardly put up with the weather we've been having here in NJ, which is only down to between 10 and 30F (-12 to around 0C) during the day. It is windy, though...
I should really move to a warmer climate. [rolleyes]

Wow, I'd have trouble surviving at -25C [surrender]

We're used in much calmer winters here:

Yep, that's what's supposed to be causing this extreme cold and high precipitation.

-25c is cold? Geez you wussies. We get -40c weather here with windchill and 6 feet of snow with blizzards still ongoing and people still go to work and schools stay open and everything. Just another glorius winter day.

I bet where some of you guys live you get 1cm of snow on the ground and you get pileups on the highways and your town/state declares emergency.

Embarrassing [no]

Heck, down here if they get more than a couple of inches on the main highway they close it! Damned annoying at times but more a case of the nanny state saving the appaulling drivers from themselves, rather than actually doing something about needing actual driving ability to get a licence.

You think your drivers are bad? Have you ever heard of this TV show called "Canada's Worst Driver"? Probably not, but you should look around for a few episodes....that'll give you an idea...the latest one was just...I was actually frightened by how they were able to even get their licenses in the first place.[surrender]

Bet ours are worse - (very) basic licence testing, no requirement to update or retest the licences until aged 75 and damned dumb Politicians and Police who concentrate on 'speeding' with little concern for actual driving standards have resulted in a nation that is almost entirely convinced that all you have to do to be a good driver is not speed!
Naturally, that means it's OK to eat, put on makeup, read, etc while driving! Small bright spot it that they've just banned the use of hand help phones, as most people seemed unable to pay attention to the road while on the phone!
Worst thing was probably the number of people who would actually send and read text's while driving! Had a number of close calls from idiots that just didn't care about red lights, keeping to the left (right), stopping for stationary cars in front of them, etc!
