Update. Stephen Gatelys family have denied that he went on an 8 hour drinking binge (is that a binge? sounds like a prett standard night out to me, out at 7pm, pub, club and something to eat, home at 2-3 in the morning?) and denied that there is a 3rd party involved in his death, they say he did not die after choking on his own vomit and are waiting until Tuesday to find out exactly what was wrong.
