I am surprised that with all these deaths, we don't just ban leaving the city. That would be so much easier than expecting people to live with the fact that if they do stupid things, they can die.

I've seen Flight of the Phoenix so I'd know what to do to survive in the desert. I'd just need a pocket knife, 6 gallons of water, model airplane instructions, and enough spare parts to build an ultralight...

I am surprised that with all these deaths, we don't just ban leaving the city. That would be so much easier than expecting people to live with the fact that if they do stupid things, they can die.

Of course, the only one who died here was a little kid who's only crime was trusting that their parent knew what they were doing.

Personally, I believe the opposite - we should make it easier for stupid people to kill themselves off as it'd certainly improve things for the rest of us - the only problem in this instance is the wrong person died.
