Are we talking about olympic size, or a kiddie pool? The logistics of a olympic size pool would be a nightmare. A kiddie pool would take a lot of work as it is. Normal ejaculate volume is between 2 and 6 ml. http://www.umc.sunysb.edu/urology/ma..._ANALYSIS.html So, lets be safe, and take the average at 4ml for a person. Now, lets take the normal Olympic size pool: Olympic size pools measure: 50 metres long, 25 metres wide, and a minimum of 2 metres deep. (25m x 50m x 2m = 2,500m3; 1L = 0.001m3 so 2,500 x 1000 = 2,500,000L) 2,500,000 litres or 2.5 megalitres http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_much_w...ming_pool_hold So, it would thus take 2,500,000L/0.004L men to fill it. That means it would take 625,000,000 men (assuming each goes once at the average amount) to fill an Olympic pool (more than 2x the total population of the US). Going smaller, and assuming a reasonable sized pool of 28'X14'X4'6" (Metric 8.5x4.3x1.35) with a volume of 50,000L http://www.de-fontenay.com/metric.htm Now, even that will require 12,500,000 (50,000/.004) men (again, assuming only one donation). And if we go to a small kiddie pool like this one: http://www.justkidspools.com/jungle_...pset_pool.html with a capacity of 288L, you will still need 72,000 men... So yeah... I can't believe i just calculated all that, but there you go.. [thumbup] |
