I ran out of gas one time 2 miles from a store, I turned on my hazzards and began the walk to the store, a deputy passed me and I actually made eye contact and waved him and he passed right on by. When I arrived at the convenience store, that same deputy was there flirting with the chick behind the counter. When I said "I really appreciate the help there barney fife"....he said "how would you appreciate being in handcuffs" he then proceded to check my identification and stalled me for 30 minutes, If not for a customer giving me a ride I would have had to walk all the way back.
For whatever reason I have never at 40 years of age been aided in any way by law enforcement. Every contact I have had whether business or personal has cast a negative image about their character. |

Actually, it's not a cop's job to get you gas..there are separate services for that. We have MDOT's or your insurance company |

Don't have a problem if it's about a specific Police officer - just when people make statements suggesting every officer is like the one(s) in question. I should of said , "i hate this cop in the video" at least you are not beeing such a ass about it [thumbup] BTW got back from a mountainbike ride ..did me very well , no idea why i need to mention this ![]() |

[rolleyes] I think that holding the neck like that was the most server, and the other two need to go just because they didn't stop him from doing that. You need to secure your subject, take him down to the ground if you need to cuff him. Don't act like you are going to choke him out. All for not yielding to a police officer as well. Pretty extreme. Though, you do have to remember that all cops are not this way. I generally, don't care much for cops, but when you need them you love them. We had a hit and run on us a few months ago. It was getting dark, if not already dark. Called the cops and within 10~15 minutes they have nailed the suspect. With the amount of cars on the road, to how many cops are on the road, and without a very good description of the vehicle, they did a FANTASTIC job. Plus they were very nice. We didn't even have like our insurance on us either which is state law, where we could have gotten a ticket, but the cop said "don't tell me that" so that he wouldn't have to write us a ticket. Than about a week ago, there was a cop blocking the intersection from a downed power line. I was going like 65/70mph in a 45 zone. Went around a curve and there he was! The road was wet, had to slam the brakes on and control my barely controllable truck. Came within 20/30 feet of hitting him while sliding all over my lane in the process. Get got out and questioned me, I didn't have my license or my updated insurance, and just told me to slow down. I lied to him as well about my speed, telling him only 55mph which he knew was a lie. |
