Default The Prodigy : Invaders Must Die
The Prodigy's new album - Invaders Must Die ... WHO HAS IT?!

I got it day of release (last week) and it's fantastic - seems they have gone back to the good old 'Music for the jilted generation' sound and it's just brilliant!

I saw them live at Summer Sonic last year here in Japan and they performed 'World's on Fire.' Though at the time they said it was a new song so I guessed it wouldn't be (too) long till a new album came out.

Any else have it, any thoughts?

Not keen on it at all minus one or two tracks.

Yep, i love it. Favourite tracks are Thunder, Take Me To The Hospital, Warrior's Dance and Worlds On Fire. To be honest they are all great except Invaders Must Die and Piranha which are just ok.

They've basically took elements from their first 3 albums but still made something that sounds fresh. I just hope for their next album Liam tries another epic like Jilted Generation, where each song is a lot longer and more detailed. The new album is very quickfire, with each song only lasting a few minutes. Still, it's great that they are back on track after the disappointment of their last album! [thumbup]

Well they did come from the uk house/rave scene, so thats likes like sayin a metal band still has guitars in it.
I lent the new Prod album i listened to it then Jilted Generation and Jilted is still loads better.

I doubt they'll ever top Jilted Generation, that's possibly my favourite album of all time.

I love the whole album, but is it just me or does Track 7, Run with the wolves sound like the music is in like 128kbit mp3?

Well mainly the start of it.

The drums were performed by Dave Grohl for that tune and sent to Liam over the internet. I'm wondering whether the samples used were low bitrate.

Seems you are right

http://www.theprodigy.com/forum/view...t=3226&start=0

Well some say it was just sent on a hard-drive but still...

From a group like prodigy you'd no way expect that.

Not a big fan of this one. It wasn't all bad, but it seems that each CD only has a couple good songs. I guess that's not surprising, since that's how it is with every band. 1 hit, 1 good track, the rest are crap.

Agreed. They have always lurked in the murky mud of mediocrity while banging out a constant stream of hits. The latest album is a plunge deeper into the cesspit.

Oh there are plenty of bands that nail the album down the whole way through, they're just not the ones you hear on the radio or hear of unless you know someone who likes the band already.

Listened to it... I think I'll stick to Jilted Generation and Fat of the Land.
