I believe that Verizon has something like that too. Now if they would only bring the price down on the share plans, that would make me happy.

Fixed.

Took me months to fix Sprint's screwups. Their collections department kept calling me looking for money, so I would pull out my credit card and ask them what my final bill was. 3 minutes later "Sorry, it looks like your credit for the early termination fee hasn't processed yet. We can't take your payment right now". Eventually I spent 2 hours on the phone and after being hung up on and transferred in circles someone finally apologized for the mistake and corrected it. First time I've had so much trouble giving my money away. Normally you have to fight to get money back, not to give it away.

Their service wasn't too bad. A little worse coverage than verizon. But their customer service and billing is... worse than Time Warner! I wanted to stab myself in the brain with a pencil every time I had to call them.

The coverage depends on where you live. I have never had a problem getting signal with Sprint. As far as the billing goes I think I only had one issue which got sorted out rather quickly.
Different people different experiences I suppose.

As for the verizon plan iirc that's only unlimited calling.

this is a common problem for sprint, right now I owe them 75 some-odd dollars, but they wont TAKE IT. Lol, mabye I should try what you did, but Im honestly not going to waste my time to pay someone who makes it this hard to pay them.

IMO I would PAY to not be with sprint/nextel, never in my entire life have I experienced such shoddy, incapable, downright horrific service with anything...unbelievable!!

I've been using Sprint for about 8 years now. Never had a problem with them. My plan, with my corporate 24% discount, is $40 month.

300 minutes w/ free nights and weekend
unlimited data
GPS navigation

I have the Sprint HTC Mogul phone and I love it!!!

I just looked, and you're right. The "Unlimited" voice and data plan from Verizon is $149.99.

Just hope that you don't get shafted. Sprint isn't doing very good at all right now. 52 week high was $23, and they are now currently sitting at $6 a share. This is also the slowest that they have been looking at their 10 year chart.

I have heard that they have lost a vast amount of money, and that they are dropping customers who cost them too much. I think the last amount was 100,000 people out of the blue. So, if you take too much advantage of this plan, don't be surprised if they drop you.

They do have the best phones imo though. I myself only know of one person who has Sprint.

"Unlimited" is a nice word they toss around. Have you looked at the fair use policy? Thats where they get you [cursing] (assuming they have one.)

Sprint truely is unlimited, unlike the other guys that add soft limits to their "unlimited" plans.

I use Sprint and I have no issues with them, their new billing system has pretty much stopped all or most complaints about billing.

Do you still have to pay for incoming calls and messages? That's one thing I have never understood about international service providers.

Depends on the plan. With sprint I was on the free incoming plan. Cost me like $65/mo. I jumped to Centennial Wireless with my wife. I think its like $120/mo after taxes for 600 (or maybe its 800) minutes, free incoming, and her nights/weekends start at 5 P.M. And OMG its a GSM provider in the U.S.

They are, however, as incompetent as Sprint. Neither of us has EVER sent a text message. I got charged 25 cents for an international text and she got charged 30 for a picture message... and when she's at work if I call her cell it rings once and drops. I can't even get her voicemail. They keep saying "its a problem with your phone"... we've replaced our phones multiple times. We had KRZR's, and now we've got Ericsson Walkmans.
