browsing youtube I stumbled across this little gem
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTSZq...eature=related Personally I like a raw sounding straight 6 or 5 better than a big V8 or 12 |

My favorite, the 69 Camaro with the LS6.

Good old Audi 5 cylinder engine, love mine in my old quattro coupe. The R32 sounds decent nice and gruff. I think the R32 uses haldex which is kind of "part time" 4wd only sending power to the back when the front slips. Maybe with the front so securely held it doesn't need to send power to the back, doubt that's correct but the only reason I could think of.

Nice spotting with the R32. Normaly, it should be one, since that company (which is a rather well known tuner) normally doesn't bother with the other models.
The explination mentioned above might have something to do with it. Also, if its an electronicly managed 4WD, that will only send power to the rear if needed, you'll more then likely be able to set it to never put power to the front trough software. Which would be rather handy for bench tests. Also, I really don't like that Mazda's sound. |
