Default ugghhh why can't people just be on time???
Im sitting here, its nearly 1:00pm. Yesterday me and a friend made plans meet up and go ride the motorcycles at 10am this morning. Well, later that day he called and said he's got to do something with his wife so He will meet me at noon. I said that was fine, there was still plenty of good hours left in the day.

So I give him a call this morning at 11:30am to make sure we were still good. Well now his wife is at the grocery store and he can't leave until she gets back and they do what ever it is they have to do. He says he will call me as soon as he's ready to go. Now im getting slighty irritated, but again I say ok.

Now its 1:00Pm in the mid 60's outside, not a cloud in the sky and still no call. WTF??? Damn im really getting pissed now. I think im just going to leave his ass if he dosnt call in the next few minutes. This is bull, why is this so difficult to do? This isnt the first time either. I mean if I say im going to be somewhere at a certain time, I will be there. Especially if I have people waiting on me.

I was ok with the the first time and kinda ok with the second time, but now its just ridiculous.[cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing][cursing]

Its one thing to say that, but when someone is consistantly late, or screws up your plans because he doesn't call to say he's not coming it gets VERY frustrating.

I have a friend who was doing that for a while, it actually caused us to not talk for about 6 months. Every time he or I made plans to do something together he would mysteriously disapear with no contact. Screwed up more than a few car outings.

I understand your frustration.

I know how you feel.

I have friends who are constantly late. You literally have to give them a time that is 1-2 hours before you actually want to meet up with them for them to be on time. e.g. meet at 11am (when you actually want to meet them up at 12-1pm).

I've got another friend who's really bad at time keeping. Not really bad but you can't rely on him to be early. You call him up and he says "I'll be 5 minutes" but in reality, it's more like 30 minutes.

I'm rarely ever late when I'm meeting for friends (for lectures and seminars is a whole different matter) but whenever I'm late I sometimes get stick for it.

Sounds exactly like cogrady84 (his girlfriend posting here). Something he did 5 mins ago will be 'this morning', something he did 2 months ago will be just 'yesterday'. If I ever pick him up from somewhere I know to extend how long he'll be - 'I'll be right out' = 5 mins 'I'll be a couple of mins' = 10 mins 'I've just got out of the shower' = 20 mins 'Just gotta finish this quest' = 30 mins

True, there's nothing that makes me more angry than a coworker who comes in late. It hold all of us back and there's nothing you can do about it. Not the same situation, but similar

Sounds like the guy's whipped. She might even not like the idea of him riding with you and is intentionally wasting his time.
