something weird was up when i ran this, my upload is 600k ish normally... had 1.5/.25 previously for 14.99, moved to this 6/687 for $34.

looking at the top 5 countries on that site i was somewhat surprised that the US is #1 by 700k in avg...for some reason i thought Euroope was ahead of US in avg speeds.

2nd test, using the mini version...

The ISP I am with gives us killer upload speeds which I need more becuase I am often uploading whole incompressed HD footage in TIFF sequence format for clients to work with.

The latest project was a 15 minute short film I had to submit to our Rotoscoper in TIFF image sequence format weighing in at 46gb... uploaded in under 4.5 hours.

Just curious. I just tested mine and it seems pretty fast, but how does it compare with the average Futuremarker?

I'm on my university network though.

I'm on mine as well.. but ICT is cheap and lazy, hence we split a 10Mb symmetrical between ~300 people[thumbdown]

Europe has places with higher speeds, but often these are countries with smaller populations that can't push up the average enough.

At home, it's supposed to be 24/2, but it bursts up to 32/2 for about 16 to 20MB of download. [thumbup]

sitting at 14/1.4 at the moment.

up speed stays the same, but the down speed fluctuates between 12 and 15 depending on the time of day :S

Well I guess I have learned more than I expected. I had always heard that average euro connection speeds put the US to shame, but it seems to be pretty even.

When I lived in a dorm it used to be pretty bad...we had about 400 people linked to 100mb connection that went to the rest of the network...but that 10mb symmetrical for 300 people is terrible
