Quite a list of credentials for someone who's only on the same level as a "decent garage band." |

Its such a shame that when someone does not like a piece of art they describe it at crap/rubbish... In fact, I expected many not to like the music. I am just (as usual) puzzled by the ways in which the disagreement is expressed. People make snap judgements so easily, and stick to them to the death. I must admit, I have never lived in a world in which I could be so aggressively certain of anything with so little information/exposure. I wonder about people. ![]() I wonder about me, too! ![]() |

Coma inducing. So boring it put me in a state where I could barely be bothered to lean over and turn it off.
......and find something beautiful that opens a whole new doorway into something otherwise well explored. I am so glad I did not miss hearing this womans music. But then after finding things like this I am sometimes a bit sad, later. How many other wonderful things will I NOT find on my short little stay on earth? But for today, Its Jackpot time! [yes] stoned by any chance? |

but then so does root beer.... ![]() Thats a good thing. If we all had the same opinions on everything, what would be the point of sharing new ideas? I am glad somebody liked it. Means I will just have to listen harder until I find the magic too. Wish me luck ![]() |

Another thing I noticed. I just had my headphones on and was listening to this and was startled that it sounded kind of watered down and "weak" Not at all the room-shaking rumbles and bass that were coming from my Klipsch 5.1's
I wonder if the reaction to this music also is affected more strongly than normal by exactly what you are listening to it on? |

My roommates are all in choir, and they made me listen to this song a lot. There are a few things about it I don't like, a few words sound out of place, that sort of thing.
But for the most part, I'm extremely impressed with the song. Its just her voice and some special effects, no band, no baseline, no wonky solos... just a pretty song. And anyone can tell that she's got some singing talent, electronically manipulated or not. Alley cats screeching? Please. |

There's one where her voice hasn't been heavily modified. I won't deny that she has the potential to be good. However, after listening to that I still don't consider her to be very talented as a singer. Her voice isn't anything special. I've checked out a number of her songs. In all of them there's just something about her voice that bothers me. Something seems lacking. Her voice isn't bad, but it seems to be missing something. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_FCd...eature=related ![]() But. I said it before. If you gave it fair consideration and don't like it, thats absolutely fine. Nobody said everyone has to agree on everything, especially something so subjective as music. Maybe some other day we will find an artist we agree on! I just sigh when instead of just saying "I don't like it" or "I disagree because...." people instead seem to feel the need to to go on and totally trash a thing in such a way as to cast aspersions by connection on anyone who does like it, or is so tasteless as to not see things the posters way. Why even go there? I don't think I will ever understand it. |
