Default Post your ride! Part : XLII
Took a stroll up to Flagstaff, AZ yesterday. Well a big winter storm rolled through.... I had some fun I got into Flag at about 2pm, it started snowing right then...by the time I left at 7pm or so, 6-7inches had already dropped.

Ride is an '07 Jeep Wrangler. (Stock for the moment, still is awesome off road.)

I'm so jealous of you Thunder. In Flagstaff, in 6" of snow, in a Wrangler, you can't get much better then that combo right there. Did you get to at least do any trailing?
Flagstaff is an awesome place, I LOVE snow (hate TN for laking it, at least this part), and my next ride is going to be an off-roader.

I hope that the weather is going to be good when I drive through there next month. Going to suck being in my RWD light as hell 240z with lots of low end torque if I have to drive in snow like that.

Though here are my rides

Here's the one I'm running at the moment:

http://freespaces.com/aramchek/cars/img_2095s.jpg

And this one is awaiting a new motor, the other one died due to an accident involving the top of a blind hill,a large rock in the middle of the road, fog and rain, and the oilpan, rod knock ensued.

It will be resurrected though as the Honda is horrible in the snow.

Oh believe me I did! funny thing is, I got out onto a trail that was supposed to be closed for the winter.... the gate was open, well hey "I'm gonna go in!". I get a few miles back and stopped to take a picture (That first picture). Well just as I'm about to head back down the mountain I see a big old snow machine trekkin' up the trail. He passes by, and waves. No biggie I wave to him too....well I get back down to the gate that was open when I went in, and what do ya know it's CLOSED! Pad-locked up, no way to open it. So after waiting a bit and surveying the area to see if there was a way to 4-wheel by, there isn't. So I end up making a call to the Sheriff's dept. and have them dispatch someone to come unlock it. I was thinking that those guys in the snow machine probably aren't coming down for quite a few hours. The snow was coming down pretty heavy at that point. Well while I was waiting in the jeep, some guy in an F150 comes up behind me and guess what! He knows the code to open the padlock. Haha! Now I know the padlock code for a Forest gate!

All in all, probably only waited an hour before I got on my way again. Was way fun yesterday up there! The jeep performed like a champ in the snow. Couldn't even get loose if I tried in 4H.

The same old one, '92 Mercedes 190D 2.5 turbodiesel. I'm toying with the idea of selling it, buying a petrol 190e in good condition and swap the engine for a 3 liter m103 (~188hp) or 3 liter m104 (~231 hp), or just get a w124 300e.

Older picture. I'm rocking the stealies now and kinda like the contrast. Next summer it'll have a 2" drop or air suspension, some Work Euroline DH 18's, billet grills, and maybe a Kenstyle VIP bodykit. I've also got my JDM power folding mirrors comming in the mail.

Here are pics of all the cars I have had:

Opel Vectra 2.0 GL 1990'
- My first car
- C20NE (115HP stock)
- Lowered by 60mm
- 2.5" exhaust
- Special paint etc...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opel Vectra 2000 16V 1990'
- C20XE (150HP stock)
- Was very good car, but I had it only for couple of months for various reasons...

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opel Vectra 2000 16V 1990'
- C20XE (150HP stock)
- Exhaust, filter
- Bodykit
- 17" rims etc...
- Loved this car

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opel Vectra 2.5 V6 Sport 1998'
- X25XE (170HP stock)
- Exhaust, race catalysator, filter
- Bodykit and repaint
- 18" rims
- I used crap loads of money on this car [rolleyes]
- Had to sell it when I got married, needed the money

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opel Omega 2.0 16V 1995'
- X20XEV (136HP stock)
- Huge car was very usefull when I was moving
- RWD
- Not in very good condition, but was the easiest car to sell. Got a call from the buyer within an hour after I put it on sale... (And got a lot of other calls aswell )

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opel Vectra 2.0 GL 1993'
- My current car
- C20NE/SE (115/130HP stock)
- A bit tuned engine
- Compression ratio ~11:1 from stock 9:1
- Maybe around 140HP
- Koni suspension
- I like this car, super cheap and Vectras are great to drive, pretty quick too (only ~1100kg)
- This has originally been a police car
- Don't have the rims that are in the pics....

I was going to ask you what happened to you car too!

I ditched the Camaro because it was becoming a money pit fast. I had replaced all the cooling things (heater core, radiator, thermostat, water pump ect) and it still overheated.
Plus the body was much worse than I thought, I had a problem with rusting underneath the car which eventually led to the drivers seat falling through. It was when the car was still in my driveway (thank god)
[oops]
