Default Christmas present ideas for a girl
So i have this girl, none girlfriend but really like her and am interested. She's not a typical girl, she plays Rugby and isn't the girliest of girls but she does enjoy movies like Elizabeth so she has a softer side to her. I'm looking for a present to get her for Christmas, already got her Lawrence Dallagio's new book and also got her a funny book called "Do Ants Have Arseholes" but does anyone have any ideas on something romantic and really nice and personal to get her?

A Blanket. The most freaking awesome gift you can ever give because it lasts forever.

Unless is satin. I have this weird fixation with chewing on satin. In my lifetime I've shredded about 4 satin sheets and 8 pillowcases. Mmmm. Satin.

Please, gentlemen, the OP is asking a legitimate question. Sarcastic comments concerning obscene gestures or gifts are neither funny (mostly by virtue of the fact that they've been done a million times before) nor helpful so please do not post them.

I got my gf a fleece blanket for the first Christmas we were together. She seemed to really like it.

The problem with asking a forum about what you should get her is that we know her less than you do. It's always hard to shop for someone, and you're in a bit of an awkward position, since you are interested in her, but she's not in a relationship with you.

To that extent, I say name a star after her. Then come up with some line like "A heavenly body above for a heavenly body on Earth" And if that doesn't work, get her a tour of the Moon.

I hear a lot with my relationships that women really want their space....

.....

I wonder what that says about me...

jack **** for the girl - because she hasn't earned it and blow the money on important people - like yourself or immediate family.

I asked this question to a guy last year and he said to get her a candle. Then I asked a girl what I should get, she said a snowglobe and a scarf. I went with the girl's suggestion and I guess it worked out ok. Go ask some girls what you should get, dont ask a forum full of guys lol.

I find the best thing to do is to go to the local mall and shop until you find it. When you find it you will know when you find it also, that is the great thing about it.

If you get advice from a girl, they are going to tell you what they would want which varies from person to person plus they are cheezy. If you ask a guy, they are going to tell you the typical things.

Only you know what she wants and you will know what to get her once you see it and the best way is to shop. When I don't know what to get someone, I just go to the mall and quickly find what I am looking for.

Jewelry, just get her something appropriate that says you like her. Like a braclet for example. Dont spend to much though if your not dating yet, you might seem desperate... Id say 100$ tops.

I don't even spend $100 on myself in one go. Maybe once or twice a year at the most.

Does she know you're interested in being more than good friends?
Regardless, ask her friends what they think - then decide what YOU want to give her. Bonus is if she didn't know before, you can be sure her friends'll let her know your shopping for her!
As for $100, if that is or isn't a lot really depends on your income/normal spending patterns. I've spent more on lady friends as gifts.

D'oh! I guess I won't post that pic.

Anyways, get her diamonds (ear rings, bracelet, necklace... wedding ring??)... if you can afford it, and it is a girl you plan on being with for a while.

I spent almost $100 on a friend of mine last valentines day and we're not dating. I mean I like her, but I know where we stand and it isn't going to be dating any time soon; I did it to make her happy and because it wasn't really about the cost it was about what I wanted to send her.
