As you can imagine, this has got all the local media and talk back stations in a frenzy - it basically comes down to "he said, she said" about what happened at the house when the power guy went round.
What we, at work, are surprised at is, that they didn't run an extension lead next door - their finances seem to be in too bad a shape for buying generators, UPS systems and the like.
Damn fool government (looks like they'll be well gone next election) has tightened the budget for the ambulance service and apparently one was not available.
All in all, it's a horrible situation for all concerned.
