Default Just saw Pirates of the Carribean...
At Worlds End and I must say it was quite good. I enjoyed it just as much as I did the other 2 so if anyone want a movie to check out this weekend, i would suggest Pirates. It's just like the other 2, great mindless fun. I wont be posting any comments on the plot yet, but there is a bit of a twist...Anyone else seen it? What do you think?

Yeah I think the key word that describes all the movies is ENJOYABLE...these movies truly don't leave much behind but they are fun while they last.

I just got home from seeing it and my wife and I both thought it wasn't very good. One and two were both better, number one being the best.

Aye the ending was a bit...unexpected. Anyone else think there might be a sequel?

Depp said at least that he wouldn't mind making another one.

Am I the only one who thought it was god awful then?

I the worst scene had to be the wedding/pirate fight. Awful AND cheesy with no excitement. If I'm watching a fight scene I don't want to sit though 10 mins of hero's not looking at their enemies while fending off two or three of them and talking at the same time. And as for the comedy, the movie twice had to go to the realm of two people going yes, no, yes, no. I'm sorry, did I stumble into a warner brothers cartoon?

[thumbdown] to the lame and very predictable plot and [thumbdown] to the comedy.

Though I didn't think the ending was awful. At least it was more closed then the second movie.

edit: though I have to admit I was only going to see it because of a friend.

I really enjoyed it as a movie, but as a 3rd Pirates movie, it felt..... off. The story line picked up way to quick; you had no idea why they were doing what they were doing in the beginning. The way many characters acted to each other was also unexpected I think they would have done well with the movie being 10-15 minutes longer, so you actually had a better idea of what was happening.

However, as I said, as the movie itself, i did enjoy it. Decent humor, decent action; all around enjoyable. I just wish it tied in better.

If you go, make sure you stay past the credits, there is another scene at the end.

Best part was when the midget pirate fired the big rocket type gun thing and got launched back down from where he just came up out of.

I wasn't a big fan of these movies but they are probably the best pirate movies ever made. So it's cool if you don't really get into so much as some people do

I did notice one thing from the ride, when they went into Davey Jones's locker to get Jack back, the screen went black, and had the same sounds from when your on the ride, that part where u go down the tunnel and its like the drop and it's all pitch black (Cant remember if thats in the beginning of the ride or towards the end of it) which was cool

Ok, my date was way too anxious to get the hell out of dodge so I missed the "thing" after the credits, please tell me what it was, by PM or otherwise.

It shows us 10 years later and she does come back waiting for him, and she's got a 10 year old kid with her, him pulling up and on the boat.. so i guess the curse is broken?

I agree completely except i'd say the humour was that of disney cartoons rather than warner brothers. It annoyed me as well since the movie started out being fairly mature with the violence and the sets and stuff and as the movie went on it just degenerated into a film for little kids.

The action sequences were pathetic and there were hardly any of them, there was no sense of adventure at all like the first 2 had. I left the cinema not even knowing what really happened or even caring. It went on for ages just meandering around, doing nothing.

The one good bit was the scene in which Johnny Depp obviously had a large part in *cough*acid trip*cough*.
