Default car a/c help?
so i think im finally gonna try to get my car a/c fix but i was just wondering if anyone here could help me first to diagnose the problem. so i have a 92 accord and the a/c just blows air. not cold air at all. was just wondering if maybe it just needs a freon charge or could there be something else???

Because of the soft tubing, vibrations and climate changes the air condition systems in cars tend to leak, so it's worth a check and inexpensive to refill.

Here's one keeping his thumbs up, hoping that you don't have a busted compressor! [thumbup]

Could be a lot of things... maybe the evaporator isn't being cooled well enough, maybe the system has run dry or some relay isn't even switching the AC on... if you're not a mechanic, best get it checked out. Also you could try asking here: http://acsource.net/acforum/

Can you hear the Compressor turning on?

More than likely the freon leaked out and it's bone dry. It's best to go get the system tested and go from there.
