Evidently if you keep forgetting to pay your water bill and its almost 2 months late, they will cut off the water. As demonstrated by Blue Ridge water company sometime this morning while I was asleep. I got up to take a shower and there was no water!

So I went and paid my measly $12.50 that I owed them, plus the $40 reconnect fee. So it should be cut back on today. I also went ahead and signed up for the automatic draft so that it wont happen again.[stupid]

Less than two months.

I would be paying less than that but thats the minmum that they can charge. I have a 3 bedroom 2 bath house but its only me living there. So I don't use much by myself.

I learned something last Monday. If you tell the cable company they're nazis for not renewing your special contract so you can host websites quickly from your home, they won't just disconnect your internet, but your television as well. [yes] Still need to call them back and get that fixed. [surrender]

Oh well, I just took all the hosting fees I was charging people and bought a managed server from Verio, and I still make $20/mo! [thumbup]

Also doesn't help if you call the tech support person that the things they are telling you to do to "fix" your internet connection will not fix a damn thing, and that they are morons, they can screw up your internet a bit. I still need to call back and get her fired for the remarks she made and get them to fix it and give me a few months free internet because of the problems she caused.

I remember when I lived at my mom's house, the water bill was like $4/month... but then again.. there is a lot of water up in that part of the country... it might even have been less than that... I think they also consolidated it into a 6month bill, so that there wouldn't be a forced minimum charge...
