If you an UGLY person who truly believes that you are gorgeous, will people then SEE you as ugly but will be LOOKING for that beauty?

What if you are a pretty person but consider yourself ugly? Will people then look for that ugliness in you?

I think if a person looks beyond the surface that whatever is inside can make an ugly person beautiful or a physically beautiful person ugly.

Showing confidence or a lack of it can also affect how others perceive you.

And if inner beauty just doesnt cut the ugly, thats why they made bags.

Personally I think I'm Ugly, mainly cos I lost most of my teeth as a child (severe vitamin deficiency), I have my Top and bottom front teeth and 2 back ones and thats it, therefore I generally don't smile much or rather I've never learnt to smile as I've been too self conscious about my teeth.

But despite that, and being bald as a pool ball, my wife thinks I'm f*cking gorgeous and tells me every day, She also thinks she's Ugly, yet I think she's the best looking woman I've ever seen and when I first met her, I thought she was way outta my league.

Then its possible that you can somehow change your aura through your own thinking,
If you think your Ugly and are constantly putting yourself down or comparing yourself to others then maybe you lower your self confidence and this lowers your aura, in turn other people will pick up on your aura, mood, body language etc and percieve you to be ugly too.

But even if your fat and ugly but believe that your vibrant and beautiful, then you can increase your self confidence and thus give out a more positive aura and people will then pick up on your body language and mood etc and percieve you as beautiful.

This is why, in some cases especially with celebrities you'll see Ugly people with beautiful people, its because the Uglies percieve themselves as beautiful and thus in turn the beautiful people see them as beautiful too, even when others think their Ugly.

This guy is uglier than me (and thats saying something), yet his g/f (possibly wife) is not what I'd consider Ugly, she's no model, but she's not Ugly!

She met him years before he was famous too, whilst he was still singing in pubs in Ireland, so fame was'nt what attracted her to him.

I'm sure other people can come up with loads of instances of Ugly people married to Beautiful people and sometimes money or the lack of it, does'nt come into the equation.

The truth is that appearance is important, and people who are prettier have advantages over us average and ugly folks. This can come true in terms of trust, social likability, and attraction. It's the way human beings are by instinct.

Now, to answer your question about beauty and ugly people, it can be summarized as the old saying, "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." The saying is true to a certain extent, but we all know when we see an attractive person with nice skin, nice teeth, nice physical attributes, nice hair, etc.., that we are automatically attentive to them and can remember details about them.

Now you ask how ugly people can pair up with gorgeous women, or semi-decent looking women who are much better looking than themselves. Generally, to get someone to be attracted to you or like you, you have to offer them something physically and/or emotionally. Looks are important, but when you get to know someone for awhile, you develop trust, comfort, and inner qualities that you like in the partner them. Basically you make them feel good around you. This in turn can build attraction between two people.
