Can't you take a supplemental exam or at least retake the course? I had to do one of each at university. It's not like one class will be the end of your education.

I did it...I made 5 As and an F in college (and a 4.0 GPA until now). I failed accounting...

Most bizarre thing ever...to make 5 As (and those were hard honors classes) and an F...

Because of one F I can't take International Business program and I am not sure if they will let me get into regular business school now...
Wouldn't accounting and accounting type math be kind of required for business school? In that respect I'm not surprised that they wouldn't let you into the business program. So why didn't you drop the class mid-semester if you knew you were failing? Most Colleges will let you do that but you lose the money for the course.

Exactly.

Congrats on the Honors As though, I know that's something that takes some freakin work to do....

Some people dont' get accounting (me included), I'd imagine though that if you don't get the basic fundamentals in accounting, such things as advanced economics and such that they'll teach you in business school will be just a tad frustrating...is that what you really want to do?

Yeah, will be a pain in the a$$, but retaking it seems like it will be the only option.

I cant believe myself though. I dont know what my grade is in the class, so I have a pretty high chance of not passing stupid Music Appreciation. All because I missed my exam today. [cursing]

I dont know how I did it, but I missed the stupid exam. I am so pissed at myself right now I cant explain it.

I really hate school. [thumbdown]

That happened to me once too. I just found the teacher and she let me take the exam 2 or 3 days later.

Same with me on accounting, I've never had so much trouble with a class. I think I'm gonna pass the class though luckily, those damn cash flow statements are HORRIBLE!!
Well....the cash flow statements are the hardest thing on the final and I got each and every one of them correct...I'm like that. I get what others do not.

I will be retaking the damn course...****!

My parents knew a while ago that I may fail the class.

My exam grades showed up LATE, 2nd exam grade showed up AFTER I could drop the course.

Now, my admission to BA is delayed by a semester...

hehe I'm studying for Engineering Economy final at the moment.

I have to calculate net present value (NPV) and internal rate of raturn (IRR) of a project with cash flow which needs to be calculated by taking into account depreciation, taxes and INFLATION !

Man I miss financial accounting lol

ah come on man, don't take it so hard

failing a class is not the end of the world

you can always take summer classes if you want to catch up

you're still young, got plenty of time ahead of you, go do an internship; it's good experience and good pay

Cheer up man..you can't dwell on this stuff or it'll just make you more miserable. If it makes you feel any better I think I may have failed an exam today which will stop me from graduating (HS though so...) and quite frankly theres nothing I can do about it so no use for me to get all worked up about it . This type of thread is making me nervous about going to college though...although that might not happen just yet if I failed the damn exam.

There is always something. I'm an honours chem major and do well in my courses (not A's! I'm a B student and happy with that ), but I cannot do calculus. For the life of me I just do not get it. I squeak by every time. Got a C- and D in first year and probably going to get a C or C- in calculus this term (second year, just need to get a D or higher!). I have no idea why, but I just cant do it. Its weird.

That sucks.

But if you failed in accounting there is nothing for you in business school pal.
