Wholly smokes, this had to have been a great white. The only native Sharks I've seen in the water here are about 4-5 long and about as threatening as a toy poodle. I was just in the water a week ago a little south of there and some kayakers were certain they had spotted a GREAT WHITE. SPOOKY.

Yup, happened earlier this morning. The odds are really bad to actually be attacked but maybe now there will be less people in the water for a while

Just heard about this from my wife, we live up in North County. I guess surfing is out of the question this weekend.

Beaches closed from Torrey Pines to Carlsbad through the weekend.
