I was wasn't surprised to discover many Dominican celebrities on the record and only taking a look at the voting for the all star game. I believe its amazing that this type of small nation may develop therefore mant great players. Considering just how many small running kids go undetected by scouts because their own families are deeply mired in poverty and can't afford to get equipment to perform It's much more impressive. On the Mets shortstop Jose Reyes I recently observed a unique. Jose was an adolescent in Gonzalez when someone acquainted with MLB informed his father that Jose would need to proceed to a major area in DOCTOR if he was actually to be acknowledged by a major league scout. Jose moved to Santiago and two years later he's twenty years old and the Mets starting shortstop. I wonder just how many gifted teenagers squander away in the campo making millions and once they might have been playing professional football residing in poverty and playing dominoes. Larry
