Default Well which was a fascinating experience....
A week ago I acquired my temperature hire vehicle (VW Polo Bluemotion, 12 months old) as the perm one has been requested, as a number of you might know. (same make/model, but a brand new one) I was joyfully driving 120kmph down once the tire stress warning light came on the freeway today, and the steering instantly went VERY cool certainly. Fortunately I was significantly less than 100m from the gas-station tunoff jumped in the turning and so I slowed up rapidly. After the warning light had come on - then examined the wheels to locate that the right back was on and totally smooth the edge I left up significantly less than 30 secs. [surrender] Limped home on the spare tire (restricted to 80kmph). Storage established that the tire-wall had ostensibly flattened inside, and I was fortunate to not have had a significant incident. Add to this the truth the among the top day-lights isn't operating (a fineable offence within The Netherlands, although its not the primary headlights), and I'm starting to wonder if the hire business bothered to examine ANYTHING on the vehicle before giving it to me. Can't wait till my permanent rental is got by me, and get shot of the death-trap. Whats surprising is this one is hardly annually old, with significantly less than 32,000 km on the clock.
