How might the Pacific War have proceeded from then, if the UNITED STATES cruiser was wrecked before the atomic bomb could be delivered by her to Tinian Island? Did the UNITED STATES have any copy nuclear weapons in July 1945? Just how long wouldn't it be before they could be used by her against Japan, if she didn't?
