Colin. We are all here (well it depends on how you interpret it). I see that there is quite a lot of activity now everyone knows the forum is back on. Mike has offered to post some insults if that will help. I would like a laptop for Christmas please. 5'4 inches and a redhead. Have not been to Glockamory lately (nor do I intend to).
Trust this makes you feel more loved and wanted.

Yup, special offer on insults today, take yer pick

Can you sing tenor ... ... ... like ten or fifteen miles away!

Can you sing "Over the hills and far away" ... ... ... like the farther the better

You have passionate fingers ... ... ... everything you touch gets screwed!

Give us a kiss ... ... ... I wanna be sick!

I do have others but not for use on a family site, please apply for a list (to be supplied in a PM with a plain cover)

PS. Must say I fancy Teddy's idea of a laptop, but can I have a brunette one about 5'8" please

It comes from the musical Finian's Rainbow, based in Ireland.

Yes, it is I, your itinerant humble dilettante, here for you, and (on a serious note) recognizing that loneliness isn't a matter for en passant jocularity.

How are things for me? Well, here on the home front, we (that is to say, my wife Hot_townPhilly & me) have comprehensively upgraded our computer network, and will be slowly decommissioning the 8-year-old machine previously described as "The Beige Beast of Suck," so hopefully I'll be able to increase my time and productivity here, and pay more attention to threads like this one(!)

But I'll try to be a decent listener, too. What's new with YOU(?)

Ah, the devine and illusive Chi_townPhilly decides to sprinkle some fairy dust on this community. How charming! Good to see that some of our moderators havn't completely fallen by the wayside (hint hint hint @ Frederik).

What system are you using I understand Windows 8 is ready?? But I'll try to be a decent listener, too. What's new with YOU(?) I have just come to the conclusion that I will never be any good at Golf and it has only taken me 45 years to arrive at it, but I am exceptional good at consuming Beer and Red Wine not at the same time you understand.

No- not on Windows 8... but we have two new machines [yea! before, we were sharing one] and got a secured wi-fi hookup from the prominent Philadelphia-based local cable company.

I tried, but couldn't get any traction with golf. Too much nervous energy. However (I hasten to add), I grew up in a family of golfers, absorbed the traditions of the game- and admire the folks who do it well... and the people who participate enthusiastically.

Love your remark about brew! My major vacation this year was to Cincinnati Oktoberfest (the largest outside Munich, I'm told)- so it should be obvious that I'm partial to a stein or two (or is that a stein and a few [more])?
