Default TPWD online reservations
We found out on our recent trip to Ft. Richardson that the online system for reservations with Texas Parks needs to provide you critial information that it does not supply. An example, we are typically happy with a water electric site and until now did not reserve 50 amp sites (reserved 30 amp, I thought the 50 was a limited number and if I do not need it why reserve it) but at Ft. Richardson the 50 amp sites are the best sites. So we were able to change luckly (I say that cause it was the next morning after one night in the space, we did not want to take down and move)
we did note that tent camping people were in 50 amp sites (which for them are the better sites also) so maybe I was the only one who did not know this. You might always reserve a 50 amp for water and electric whether you need it or not. Seems strange that if the park upgrades sites that not do them all but I am sure it was a money thing. That is until the reservation sysytem shows where the 50 amp are located

This is true @ Inks Lake also. I learned that little fact on the first trip after the new system was implemented!! The 50amp sites are the ones nearest Devils Waterhole!!
