What I want to know is why I have an expected return of 35 when I roll 10d6. I just don't understand it. Can someone teach me to multiply and divide? I have a multivar exam on monday and I think arithmetic might be on the test. ![]() |

Because the range you get 10-60, which is a 50. Spliting it even will make the expected return 35 - 25 numbers above 35, and 25 numbers below 35. Expected result of 1d6= 3.5 thus expected result of 10d6 = 10*3.5=35. It doesn't get much simpler than that. Sigma is a (tiny) bit trickier. |
